Containerized Production Environments

Although containerization allows developers focus only on development and IT operations focus on deployment, it poses challenges to security of applications after deployment. While there is an increase in containerized environments for deployment, traditional security solutions may not be feasible. Surveys indicate that security is a key concern with respect to containerized environments.

Containers help in hastening software delivery, but they pose security risks. Organizations can implement the following solutions:

• Use container-native tools to help IT operations in identifying containers that are vulnerable before it makes way into production.
• Use container-specific tools to manage security vulnerability and processes for images to avoid compromises.
